Event Director Buzz Carter talks through what’s new at this summer’s event, and why it’s more important than ever for sourcing professionals to meet with manufacturers in person….

We launched Fashion SVP to bring buyers and manufacturers together…

We launched the show six years ago following feedback from sourcing professionals that they needed a forum to meet with suppliers, rather than spending hours searching online. By bringing them together under one roof we have taken the legwork out of researching and sourcing new suppliers. Our visitors tell us that this saves them considerable time and money; that you what would have taken weeks of research, can now be done in a day. It’s also a great opportunity to see the products first hand, understand capabilities and build relationships in person.

Our exhibitors are handpicked…

We choose around 100 producers to attend from the UK and Europe to meet with buyers, designers, retailers and sourcing managers over the two days. We are very careful about our exhibitor line-up and make sure we not only have high quality producers, but that we there is an even spread of product capability – so you can find all your apparel needs from one visit.

Free insights from leading industry experts…

An exciting element of the show is the free Sourcing Briefing seminar programme. It plays host to some fascinating sessions from industry trailblazers. Back in January, we welcomed Dr Kim Winser OBE, Founder and CEO of Winser London; Brigitte Stepputtis, Creative Director, Vivienne Westwood; Alison Lewy MBE, Fashion Angel and Tamsin Lejeune of Ethical Fashion Group for standing-room only sessions. Stay tuned for the summer programme, but it won’t disappoint.

Denim is coming…

Each event we introduce a new feature or element, back in 2017 it was the athleisure zone and this time around we are creating a denim zone. Source Denim will feature 50 denim manufacturers from 14 countries, along with seminars on the state of the denim industry and sustainable production from denim industry commentators.
