The Learning Curve
Coming to a town near you this Autumn!
2017 – the launch of The Learning Curve, part of Fashion SVP’s Sourcing Academy: intensive sourcing and buying workshops
At Fashion SVP, we’re committed to providing and disseminating knowledge via our Sourcing Academy Briefings to help busy fashion people in their work and for continuing professional development in the fashion industry.
Following feedback we’ve received about our popular show seminars, where many people have asked for more detailed information around the topics we cover at the show, we have taken the initiative to launch a series of in-depth sessions for sourcing and buying professionals.
So we’re delighted to announce the inaugural series of “The Learning Curve”: 2-day, intensive and interactive training workshops being launched in November 2017 at 4 major cities around the UK.
Who are these workshops for – are they for me?
The programme will deal in-depth with knowledge sharing about key issues in sourcing and buying in a changing landscape, so this will apply to both large retail brands and standalone or boutique brands. Those in Sorcing, Buying, Production, Technical, Design and Merchandising, who are dealing with fast-changing trends, shorter buying cycles, data-driven demand, new and innovative fabrics, and the changing demands on the sourcing and buying professional, will greatly benefit from these vital sessions.
The workshops will be fully interactive for maximum learning potential. Our expert trainers, with vast experience in the fashion industry, will provide up and coming buyers, managers and entrepreneurs with in-depth and practical knowledge on a variety of topics including:
- Product Development lifecycle
- Strategic sourcing by region
- Factory and supplier evaluation
- Negotiating and relationship skills
- Developing long-lasting, trusting and mutually beneficial supplier relationships
- Sourcing challenges for buyers, merchandisers and designers in the current retail environment
